Core HR in KServeHRMS is the back bone set of modules forming a part of a complete Human Resource Management System (HRMS / HRIS). The modules in Core HR is required for any of the plans, flavours or additional product areas to work. On its own, Core HR can be implemented to manage a hr data and maintains comprehensive and real time information databank of employees. Processes Joining, Movements, Transfers and Separations ensure that the latest status of employees is up-to date and hence a reliable source of hr data related to employees.

Core HR consists of two parts a) Modules that are needed to Provision, Setup and enter Master Information that is necessary before one starts to use the application on a regular basis and b) Managing the Core Employee Database and the life cycle of movements through the life of the employee in the organization.

The modules in Core HR that are needed to Provision, Setup and enter Master data are:

Provisioning Used to deploy the application for the specific installation and configure key parameters used in that instance of the application.
Setup Used to configure important components of the applications that are used in that specific instance. This includes definition of roles, users and codes used in specific context in which the application is being used.
HR Masters These are master data that are used across the application, including organization structures like companies, departments, divisions, positions, grades etc. and other important master data like work locations, countries, states, skills and competencies.

The modules used in Managing Employees are:

Manage Employees Captures a lot of relevant information about the employee – Personal Details, Contact Details, Organization Responsibility Details, Family Details, (Personal Details – repeated), Education Details, Past Employee Details, Compensation, Travel and Other Statutory Documents.
Employee Life Cycle Management Captures online key life cycle events of the employee in the organization like Joining, Movements, Transfers and Separation. These transactions update the latest status of the employee and hence usage of the application in the modules used.
Leave The Core leave back office application is included in the core module. One case setup leave policies, eligibility and crediting details and these can be used to process leave by period.
